Since the 80’s, Lelong Editions produces and distributes etchings, lithographs, digital prints and artist’s multiples of internationally recognized artists. It started with figures such as JoanMiró, Antoni Tàpies, Francis Bacon, Louise Bourgeois, Eduardo Chillida, Pierre Alechinsky, Konrad Klapheck, Robert Ryman, Richard Serra, Jannis Kounellis, Arnulf Rainer, Karel Appel, Jan Voss and Antonio Saura. In the 1990’s, several artists from a new generation joined in: Sean Scully, Günther Förg, Andy Goldsworthy, Barry Flanagan, Ernest Pignon-Ernest… During the 2000’s and still today, Lelong Editions also offers new prints by JaumePlensa, David Nash, Kiki Smith, Barthélémy Toguo, Nalini Malani and Etel Adnan, to name a few.
The gallery, this year, will focus on the Ernest Pignon-Ernest’s work . The artist was born in Nice in 1942, he works and lives in Paris. Since 1966 he has privileged the city as the setting and the subject of his ephemeral works of art, which echo and underscore the historical andactual events occurring there. He is now considered by many “street artists” as a forcaster of their art.
